Aaron Lofaro started playing the violin at age 9 in the public school system in Briarcliff Manor. Mr. Lofaro has performed with various orchestras in Westchester and Fairfield Counties including the Danbury Symphony Orchestra, St. Thomas Orchestra, and American Chamber Orchestra. He has participated in Orvieto Musica, a chamber music festival in Orvieto, Italy. As a student at the long-term Suzuki teacher training program at the Hartt School of Music, Aaron studied with Linda Fiore and Teri Einfeldt. He has also studied with Michele George at the Chicago Suzuki Institute. In addition to teaching his studio, chamber music and violin group classes at SMSW, he also teaches grades 3-5 orchestra in the Greenwich Public Schools system. He has also taught in the Bridgeport Public School system and at the Greenwich Suzuki Academy.
Mr. Lofaro earned is Bachelors degree from Roberts Wesleyan College and his Masters degree from Western Connecticut State University in Music Education. Mr. Lofaro has studied violin under Anna Ostrofsky, Chang Guo, and Stephen Clapp.
