A graduate of both the Royal Academy of Music, and the Royal College of Music, Jeff has performed as Principal Double Bass with numerous classical orchestras in the UK and US. Jeff also performed with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Carnegie Hall. As a soloist, he was one of the youngest players to perform the Kousssevitsky Double Bass Concerto with full orchestra. Jeff has also performed in more than twenty musicals including bass guitar in Les Miserables on Broadway. Jeff has worked with many conductors including Sir Simon Rattle, Gunther Schuller, Vladimir Ashkanazy and David Roberston, Among his teachers, he includes study with Homer Mensch, Julliard School, John Walton and Robin McGee, the Royal Academy of Music before becoming the protégé of the legendary Stuart Knussen, Principal Bass and Chairman of the Board of the London Symphony Orchestra, working with him in Banff, Canada, London, and the US.
His varied interests stretch beyond music. Fully trained in Oriental Medicine, tai chi, medical chi gong and kung fu, Jeff maintains an oriental medicine Practice in Westport and enjoys the overlap, where medicine and music meet.
