Mila Gottesman was born in Ukraine, a former republic of the USSR, and began playing piano at the age of 5. She graduated music school in Kiev, Ukraine and then moved to the United States at the age of fifteen, where she graduated the Hebrew Arts School in Manhattan. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degree in piano performance from the Manhattan School of Music. Her studies included music education and the Dalcroze Eurythmic method of teaching young children.

Mila has taught at various music schools including the Westchester Conservatory of Music and Queens College. Her students have won the competition of young pianists at Cami Hall and have appeared on the radio program “New York Kids.” She is a former member of Piano Teachers’ Congress of New York and Associated Music Teachers League and a current long-time member of the Schubert Club of Fairfield County.
