Rita Rack has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Barnard College, Columbia University. She also attended the Mannes College of Music as a Piano Major and the Masters Program in Performance at the City College of New York. She has participated in both the Aspen Festival of Music and the Fontainbleau School of Music in France. Her major teachers have been Edith Oppens, Lucy Greene, Arkady Aranov, German Diaz and she has participated in master classes with Lili Kraus and Menahem Pressler. She received her Suzuki Training from New York’s School for Strings and she has been on the faculty of the Neighborhood Music School in New Haven, the Diller Quaille School, and the Third Street Settlement Music School in New York City where she also has a private studio. She has over 25 years teaching experience. Rita is also one half of a four-hand piano duo with Dana Pielet that regularly performs in New York and around the tri-state area.
